Pokročilý karcinom děložního hrdla - nová indikace topotekanu (Hycamtin®)

Studie fáze III GOG 0179 prokázala u nemocných s rekurentním nebo perzistujícím karcinomem děložního hrdla léčených kombinací topotekan + cisplatina prodloužení přežití nemocných proti ramenu pouze s cisplatinou. Bylo dosaženo času do progrese 2,9 měsíce v rameni s cisplatinou (CPT) a 4,6 měsíce u kombinačního schématu CT (p = 0,014). U monoterapie bylo dosaženo kompletní remise u 4 nemocných a 14 dosáhlo odpovědi částečné, u kombinace cisplatina topotekan bylo dosaženo 14 kompletních odpovědí a 22 částečných. Medián přežití byl 6,5 měsíce pro CPT a 9,4 měsíce pro kombinační léčbu CT (p = 0,017).
