This article contains a brief outline of the possibility of psychotherapeutic interventions in oncological patients. Psychotherapy is a tool that allows emotional support to patients, helping the patient adapt to the changes that illness brings and supports the integration of changes

in family and social system of the patient. Improving communication between patient and physician.
