Kolorektální karcinom - úvodem

Od doby prvních dekompresních operací se léčení kolorektálních nádorů dramaticky změ­nilo. Podobně jako v jiných oborech střídá období stagnace období bouřlivého nadšení a rozvoje. V devatenáctém století se této problematice věnovali hlavně chirurgové a byli již publikovány četné operační postupy, které se zaměřovaly na odstra­nění nádoru. U nádorů tračníku se jednalo o resekční výkony, u kterých byly v průběhu dalších desetiletí upravovány jen standardy onkochirurgické radikality. Největší pozornost byla dlouhodobě věnována radikální chirurgické léčbě nádorů rekta. Byly propracovány různé operační postupy jak cestou abdominální, tak perineální. Vrcholem tohoto bouřlivého rozvoje oboru je bezesporu práce Ernesta Milese v roce 1908, která vytýčila standardy radikality chirurgické léčby maligních nádorů konečníku...
