Primary cutaneous lymphomas are rare type of extranodal non-Hodgkin lymphomas with usually indolent behaviour. To this timeepidemiology of cutaneous lymphomas in Czech Republic has not been evaluated. In this article we present epidemiologic data ofcutaneous lymphomas in the Czech Republic according to the Czech National Cancer Registry from years 2005 to 2015. Limitationsof analysis, comparison with international results and the relevance of monitoring epidemiological indicators are briefly discussed.

Diagnosis of cutaneous lymphomas is one of the most complex and difficult parts of hematopathology particularly due to widerange of differential diagnosis from group of benign inflammatory lymphoproliferative lesions. Besides morphology, the diagnosisrely upon using immunohistochemisty, in situ hybridization (including fluorescent ISH) and molecular methods, mainly polymerasechain reaction (PCR) testing, to determine the type of B-cell receptor and or T-cell receptor rearrangement in particular.Nevertheless, there still exists a variety of overlapping and lymphoma-like appearing entities which needs to be rule out be forestablishing a diagnosis of...

Primary cutaneous lymphomas are a rare type of extranodal non - Hodgkin lymphomas where malignant T-cells or B-cells infiltratethe skin. Most patients with primary cutaneous lymphomas are diagnosed in the early stage of the disease with usually indolentclinical course. However, cases with aggresive behaviour and unfavourable prognosis are not rare. This review summarizes diagnosisand treatment of the most important subtypes of cutaneous lymphomas with emphasis on dermatological manifestationsand skin directed therapy.

Primary cutaneous lymphomas form a heterogeneous group of rare hematologic malignancies. A multidisciplinary approachis essential for the management of patients with cutaneous lymphoma. The aims to present the role of the hematologist in themultidisciplinary care for patients with cutaneous lymphomas in the Czech Republic. It focuses on current best practices in thediagnosis and treatment of primary cutaneous lymphomas.

Cutaneous T-cell lymphoma are rare, in advance stage almost incurable disease, treatment options in advance stage of the diseaseare limited. In randomised, open – label, multicentric clinical phase 3 study (ALCANZA) it has been compared effect of brentuximabvedotin (BV) in dose 1.8 mg/kg once every 3 weeks and investigator´s choice (IC) - oral methotrexate 5-50 mg once weekly or bexarotene300 mg/m2 once per day) – both drugs for up to 48 weeeks. Primary endpoint of study was to assess objective responselasting at least 4 months (ORR4). Between AUG-2012 and JUL-2015, total of 131 patients (66 in BV arm and 67 in IC arm) has beenenrolled....

Brain metastases are an important and frequently treated indication in modern radiosurgery. This non-invasive method offersgood local control with minimum toxicity and repeability of treatment. The CyberKnife is a device for frameless whole-bodyradiosurgery using image guided robotic technology and linear accelerator as a photon source. In our prospective study wemeasure the volume of brain metastases on MRI with use of computer-assisted volumetry and we evaluate the predictive valueof these volumetric changes. We track the effect of therapy according to histological type of tumor, number of brain metastases, sex and initial performance status of patients....

Chronic lymphocytic leukemia is one of the most common lymphoproliferative disorders in western population. Course andprognosis of the disease are very variable and they are influenced, among other factors, by typical cytogenetic changes and geneticmutations. Many patients never require treatment, whereas others die in spite of the treatment in short time from diagnosis. The treatment is based on classical chemotherapy, monoclonal antibodies and also targeted therapy, or possibly combinationof these. Described case shows a significant part of current treatment approaches – chemoimmunotherapy with fludarabine, cyclophosphamide and rituximab in the...

Intracranial germ cell tumours are rare malignancies of childhood, adolescence and young adults. The tumour characteristics, histology types, principles of treatment and their prognosis are described in the introduction. In two not quite typical cases, clinicalfinding, diagnostic and therapeutic procedure, and result of treatment of a young patient with pure germinoma and of a younggirl with CNS dysgerminoma are described. The cases confirm a high radio- and chemosensitivity of intracranial germ cell tumours.
